This event is to teach local individuals with disabilities how to ride a conventional bike and become a lifelong independent rider! Success in learning to ride a bike is a major accomplishment. Learning to ride independently results in increased confidence, a sense of accomplishment, and an improved self-image. 

How to Register:

ICan Bike rider must be ages 8 and up, weigh no more than 220 lbs, have a disability, have an inseam measurement of at least 20", be able to walk without assistive devices and step from side to side. To learn more about how to participate as a rider or register a rider, please email ka0090@uah.edu

How to Volunteer: 

Be a "spotter" for the same rider for each of the 5 days of camp and experience the thrill of giving the gift of riding a bike! ICan Bike Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, able to attend 90 minutes at the same time each of the five days of camp, able to provide physical, emotional, and motivational support to assigned riders, and able and willing to get some exercise for a great cause! If you are interested in volunteering or just looking for additional information, please email ka0090@uah.edu

Instructors will introduce the 70+ agencies that are tenants on the arsenal.  Instructors focus on  AMC, AMCOM, NASA-MSFC, FBI, Army Corps of Engineers, PEO-Aviation, PEO-Missiles, SMDC, MDA, USASAC, and Futures Command’s subordinate organizations.

Participants will learn each organization’s mission and role in system lifecycles as well as ways to interact with the organization and learn about their opportunities.

On June 18 at 11:00 am, join us at the Slab (outside of the CTC/Charger Cafe) for a Juneteenth Freedom Walk! Because we'll be getting our steps in, Charger Fit will award points to eligible employees participating in the wellness program. There will also be swag and food available after the event.
